Hypnosis vs. Hypnotherapy
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural state that everyone experiences every day. When we first wake in the morning, when we are on autopilot, daydreaming or in a state of flow, we are experiencing natural hypnosis. Essentially, hypnosis is a deep state of relaxation, akin to a deep meditative state. In this ‘hypnotic trance’, you are able to access your subconscious mind and access states of deep concentration and focus.
When being hypnotised, you will remember everything that happens, you retain complete control and you can’t be made to do anything against your will.
What is hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis for therapeutic purposes.
Our subconscious mind is like a computer hard drive, where we store every experience, emotion, and thought we’ve ever had. I use hypnotherapy to access the subconscious mind’s filling system enabling my clients to uncover the root causes of many issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and addiction.
Behind each current unhealthy behaviour, there is a chain of events, with an original foundational event or memory that has created the limiting belief or coping strategy. Examining these foundational events allows us to change our current unwanted behaviours permanently.
